Meet The Developers

The “nerve center” of Long Meadows, Inc. is Howard E. Mowry, Jr. (center) founded LMI in 1976 and began introducing Central Virginians to true affordable housing. LMI has constructed over 1,000 single-family and multi-family homes under his auspices.

In 1999, Ed Dorman (right) joined LMI to add his accounting and administrative expertise to further optimize both the company’s general operations and street development division. His efficiency is injected in all aspects of the organization from financials to customer service.

In January 2003, Chris Mowry (left) became the President of LMI after many years working in the family business. Chris continues his father’s production and quality ideals to blend construction innovation and cost efficiency thereby providing LMI clients with the most home for the money. You can see this to be evident in the homes you are visiting today.
